| The Pursuit |
| The Jack Russell Terrier was originally bred to hunt fox in England. In the United States today, the Jack Russell is used to hunt fox, groundhog, possum and raccoon in the earth. At Foxglade, we enjoy keeping with the Jack Russell's hunting tradition, and breed accordingly. We are proud to have had three JRTCA Bronze Medallion terriers--All Season's Scamper, Wild Remain Toast (who is now residing with Donna Allen), and Sow's Ear Taltos--and are pursuing this with our current terriers. Currently, Peanuts has earned her JRTCA NHC to groundhog, and Lily has earned her NHCs to groundhog and possum. However, most days in the field are just spent enjoying what our terriers were bred for generations to do, with friends we cherish. That's what it's all really about. |
